It is hard to find your way in the dark without a light. It becomes easy to stumble or get lost. This world is full of darkness and even full of people who do not even know they are in darkness. We must be the light of the world that we may see and that others may find there way.
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

God’s people are a light
As Gods people we are a light to the world. Just like in the previous post showing love to others including the ones we don’t want to. Can be a way of showing our light; Gods light. Once we are saved and God lives in us we are different, and should not look like just everyone else in the world. Some times we are the only bible people see, our life can be a testimony to God. Think of how do you react in situations and what do you do. Are you acting the same as the ones who claim not to know Jesus; or do you stand out from the crowd. Who do people see when they look at you and your life.
People watch us
People watch us, That’s what they do. If they know you’re a Christian they will watch to see if you are like them or different. The way you handle yourself could mean the difference to them and what they think and see. As people we are not perfect because we are human and sinful. however we should be striving to be more like Jesus.
Don’t hind your light
If we hid our light what good does it do for us or others. Without light we will stumble too, even may get on the wrong path. At night you turn on the lights to see where to go and how to get there. At night you use your car lights to drive so you can see the way and not get into an accident. The light of Jesus should be in us and shining out so we can see the way and to help others to find the way. The bible is a way to light our path so we can follow the correct one.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

The Bible as a light
God’s word the Bible is our light and it will show us the way. You can find instruction on how to live, how to be a good friend, how to raise kids and how to treat others in the bible just to name a few. If we are using Gods word to light our way than those who look at us can use us to show them the way to the light. If you are not using the right equipment you could get lost out in the dark. The bible is our guide and our light to navigate the sinful world which is full of darkness. So that we may not get lost but help others to know the truth.
Jesus is the light
To help shine the light for others first we must find and use the light ourselves. Jesus is the light of the world, he is the hope and his light never fades always showing truth. We all need hope in our lives from kids to adults. Jesus is that hope and is always there shining brightly when we look.
