Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us in, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died or us.
God loved us so much he did not want us to be left to a life of sin and separated from him. So God sent his only begotten son to die for us on the cross. John 3:16 [ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.]
We were lost in our sin and Christ came and he died for us while we were still sinners before we had chosen him. So that we could know the love of God. Gods love is true love and is something he did not just say he showed his love too. God did something about his love in a big and mighty way. Christ died for us not because he had to but because he loved us so much he did not want us to be cast into hell. But wanted us to have a chance, a hope and a way to be reconnected to God. God loved us even before we turned to him, if he loved us that much when we were lost in sin imagine how much he can strengthen us now as his child who has turned to him. When Jesus died on the cross so many years ago we how are alive now were not alive than. God knew us to and wanted us to chose him and to have a chance. When Jesus died on that cross his blood covered all sin and our sin which would be future sin because we were not alive at that time. That is a lot of love from Jesus to die for those who had not even been born yet.
Ephesians 4:1 [ According as heath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:]
before the foundation of the world God knew us. God knew you and he loved you.
